vMay 9th – 2nd Annual "Time to Gather" - SON donated a Duane Pasco art piece to the Suquamish Foundation annual event.

vJune 1stSON 7th Annual Potluck & Celebration at Camp Indianola
Suquamish Tribal Chairman, Leonard Forsman was present to welcome everyone who attended at Camp Indianola. Dennis LeWarch, the Suquamish Tribal Archeologist gave a presentation on history of the Suquamish canoes. Dolores Mills blessed the meal. Rich Demain, Suqamish Tribal elder and Pastor Tom Thresher of the Suquamish United Church of Christ were honored.

  vJuly 19th - 2008 Canoe Journey Community Potluck Lunch The community potluck lunch was a great success. We even had some extra spaghetti to supplement later meals thanks to your generosity. Tina Jackson, the Suquamish Tribal Coordinator of the event thanked us because our participation is a visible demonstration that the larger community supports the extraordinary cultural resurgence taking place in Suquamish and other tribal communities. vAugust 15th-17th  Chief Seattle Days  SON marched in the Chief Seattle Days parade with our banner. More 2008 Chief Seattle Days pictures.  
vOctober 9th  Suquamish Citizen Advisory Committee Open House The event was a lot of fun. SON met a lot of people who were interested in us. Karen and Glynis did a great job of introducing SON to people who wandered by. We made a new story board for the event, it shows some of our past events, tells our purpose, and shows some of the letters of appreciation we have received.

vNovember 1st  Suquamish Dock Dedication   Sarah van Gelder attended the new Suquamish Dock dedication ceremony and talked about what a moving event it was, and how impressive the new longhouse building is looks as construction nears completion.  See the new dock.
