Over
150 people shared the feast and festivities. Bella Luna Pizzeria
and the Suquamish Canoe Families Song and Dance group were
honored. Elder, Rich Demain, master carver presented SON with a foot long traditional tribal canoe with paddles which he said represents the work we have done to strengthen the community.

Nichols is first Seattle mayor to attend the ceremony. He and his wife were honored along with our members
Virginia Cowling and Jim Henry. Our new SON banner was used in the parade and displayed for the weekend. |
