THANKS TO COMMUNITY SUPPORT,  we provided salads, beans, potatoes, rice, dessert and lots of volunteer help for an estimated 4,000 during the 2006 Inter-tribal Canoe Journeys Barbecue Dinner and Community Potluck on Sunday in Suquamish. Several times tribal members thanked us saying they really appreciated our help. 

It was an awesome weekend during the well planned hosting by the Suquamish Tribe. We witnessed some beautiful sights with canoes coming in by groups on Saturday afternoon and shooting across to Seattle on Monday morning with songs and whoops of sound.

A special thank you to those who worked on the planning committee. They were Frances Malone, Jana Rice, Jim Goettler, Mei Mei van Gelder, Bruce Carter, Glynis Burns and Sarah van Gelder.
